1969 was a memorable year;
It was the year QE2 had her maiden voyage and Concorde flew for the first time.
It was also the year Neil Armstrong and ‘Buzz’ Aldrin became the first men to walk on the moon.
And yesterday we cleaned the oldest carpet we have come across in 43 years in the carpet cleaning industry. This carpet is a Wilton carpet and was fitted in 1969.
Note from the photograph below how the carpet is in 36 inch strips which are sewn together, sometimes on site. And it’s still in fabulous condition after nearly 50 years.
